Description

Nasco Education is seeking energetic individuals to join our Customer Care team. The individuals in this position will assist in entering and monitoring orders and helping customers with any issues or questions they may have. Nasco offers its customers a wide variety of products, sold online through our website or through catalog orders.


Duties of the position may include:

  • Assist the customer with general ordering information; credit terms, estimated delivery time, invoice requests, pricing, product information, shipping charges, shipping information, special order requests, stock checks, tracking information and web navigation.
  • Process domestic and international orders via email, fax, mail, phone, and web.
  • Follow-up on customers' inquiries when needed; address verifications, back orders, missing information, price increases, product substitutions, ship dates, shipping charges, special order information and tax exempt status.
  • Interpret, follow and update customer account notes, routing guides, price guidelines and special order handling instructions.
  • Resolve order issues regarding shortages, damages, faulty equipment and lost packages.
  • Fill out and file claim forms with the applicable Shipper for lost or damaged items.
  • Correct billing errors by initiating credits and debits to the customer's account.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned by a Customer Care Supervisor.

The department offers entry level opportunities as well as positions for those with prior experience in a Customer Care/Customer Service setting.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Must be comfortable with working on a computer and learning various software programs.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must be able to work professionally with people in a team atmosphere and on an individual basis.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
