Responsible for local and regional payers' accounts receivables (up to approximately $5M) as assigned to identify, manage and resolve systemic trends causing collection delays for the providers (Hanger Clinics) and coordinating additional revenue recovery.

Your Impact
    Identify, analyze and resolve claims issues and coordinate revenue recovering efforts, for specific payers, to reduce claims denials and to promote faster (cleaner) claims processing
  • Communicate root cause/resolution to appropriate parties, including payers
  • Analyze claims data on a proactive basis to identify potential areas for improvement in claims processing, making recommendations for improved processes
  • Analyze and trend payer's outstanding A/R reports to identify systemic trends requiring either company or payer changes to claims systems or additional provider education
  • Review claims submissions and claims rejections/denials within billing systems for additional research and recommend changes
  • Coordinate claims reprocessing projects as required for assigned payers
  • Maintain a master project plan to facilitate timely completeness of all payer engagement activities (e.g., notice to payers, updating the field, updating Salesforce) for new startup clinics, relocations, closures, subsidiary TIN mergers and acquisitions
  • Develop payer relationships for efficient escalation and problem resolution
  • Produce reports using various software programs to support identified systemic payer trends
  • Work with payers on trainings for Hanger Clinics, e.g., how to submit appeals, find information on websites
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience to substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience working with third party payers to resolve ongoing issues or related field
  • Certification in medical coding preferred

  • General Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding protocols, Medicaid, Medicare and third party billing and coding.

Pay range of $48,900 to $61,100 + annual bonus: up to 5% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables
